J. K. DIAMONDS INSTITUTE OF GEMS & JEWELRY (J.K.D.I.G.J) is Government Registered under Indian Society Act 1860. Mr. KIRIT AJMERA, founder President of the Institute, was born in Burma (Mandalay) in a Jain family. He acquired diamond business from his father Mr. Chunilal Ajmera. He started his career in diamond market in 1976 with manufacturing, trading and jewelry business. He actively took part in National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) which is also known as Panna auction. In 1987, during the progressive year of diamond market several people asked him about a suitable place to learn diamond grading. There was no suitable place to provide practical training. Since then he got inspired by the interest of the people and started courses of Polished & Rough Diamond Grading as per international standards in 1989 at J.K. Bldg, Opposite Panchratna Backside gate, Opera house.

In India, Diamond Certification has commenced since 2000 whereas Mr. Kirit Ajmera had started the course of Certified Polished Diamond Grading and Rough Diamond Grading in 1989. Day by Day with mouth publicity and recommendations from most of the diamond Offices & Showrooms, thousands of people came to learn Diamond Grading & Valuation Practical Course at
