• Diploma Program in Photographic Techniques. It is a part time weekend course (10 Months), classes conducted on Weekends i.e on Saturdays and Sundays.

Do I get to know every aspect of Photography in IIP ?

Yes, you will get to know every aspect of photography in IIP. Now the next question that comes to your mind is HOW? We initiate our courses from the basic level like handling of the professional camera’s like DSLRs along with all the demonstrations preliminary starting from the opening of the lens cap to the professional usage of camera’s, in the next level we progress our classes to some basics like Exposure, Depth of Field, Shutter speed, ISO etc and later when you are acquainted with the basic level, we provide the opportunity to specialize yourself in the different genres of photography like advertising photography, wedding photography, product photography, Splash photography etc. along with all the practical applications and be the master in the particular genre of photography that you will be opting for.

I don’t know anything about camera and photography, do I stand eligible in IIP?

Even if you don’t know a single thing about Photography and camera, please don’t worry , you are at the right place. Our motto is to create the best photographers in Kolkata by training them from the grass-root or ground zero level. Our courses are designed in such a way, so that you can learn how to open the lens cap of a camera to clicking some master- piece pictures. The training happens along with the opportunity to establish yourself in the market and build a solid network into photography & advertising fraternity, in order to generate income opportunities & paid assignments. IIP courses are for both amateurs and professionals.

What sort of a camera do I need to possess in order to pursue courses in IIP?

You need a basic DSLR camera in order to pursue courses in International Institute of Photography (IIP), though in 1st few months we can provide you with the institute camera for the practical classes, but later on you’ll need to have a professional DSLR camera fin order to do your assignments, photo walks, live shoots and practical classes.

I am a working professional, Do I have weekend courses in IIP?

Yes. We do have a weekend course for the professionals. The course that is offered on weekends is, Diploma Program in Photographic Techniques. It is a part time weekend course (10 months), classes conducted on Weekends i.e. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Do I able to know other subjects related to photography?

Photography is a creative subject, so in order to be a master photographer you need to be creative as well as technically sound. The creative part consist of many aspects like aesthetic, composition sense, objective, perspective etc. We nurture both the creative as well as the technical part in the students. We teach photography in a holistic way. We try to cover all the allied aspects associated with good photography. We have a panel of guest faculties who take sessions from time to time, to impart knowledge on all kinds of allied subjects like Commercial Art, Make-Up Techniques, Modeling, Lighting, Advertising, Composition, Communication, Marketing, Event, Public Relation etc.

Does IIP assure me any placement assistance?

Yes we offer with the best placement assistance related to photography in Kolkata & outside. The genres includes advertising photography, event photography, photo journalism, fashion photography, online portal product photography etc. We are perhaps the only institute to provide paid assignments to our students during the course curriculum. During the last trimester a student enrols for POP (Placement Opportunity Program) with our placement cell. Can I specialize in a single genre of photography?

You can specialize in a particular genre of photography in full time course i.e. Advance Diploma in Commercial Photography. After completing the basics of photography, we provide you with several options for specialization i.e Fashion Photography, Food Photography, Art Photography, Photo Journalism etc.

Is there any special workshop on Photography?

Yes we do provide workshop on photography.

Is there any age limit or educational qualification necessary to take admissions in IIP ?

No. We do not have any age limit, but you should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 to pursue the courses in International Institute of Photography (IIP).
