Diploma in Physical Education (UTU)

The Diploma in Physical Education programme seeks to develop professional competence and expertise in teaching Physical Education as a major subject. It seeks to enable you to follow an academic and knowledge-based approach to the subject area of Physical Education. The programme aims to give you a grasp of the psychological, sociological and philosophical principles essential to an understanding of the physical education teaching process. In addition, there will be curriculum studies in activity areas where you are given the option to choose your preference.
