Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Logistics and supply chain concept. Role of logistics and supply chain Management in meeting the challenges raised in the constantly changing scenario of competitive environments of Business and Industry. This course will also focus on the re-design of supply chain processes and re-engineering.
The course will be helpful in understanding the storage and material handling equipments, the design of warehouses and use of information technology, demand, Procurement and Inventory handling will be the other area which will be thoroughly explored during the programme.
Business Statistics for Decision Making, Forecasting will grant the stakeholders an upper edge in dealing the complexities of supply chain problems. Information systems an e-Business as a module of the course will help in dealing with physical network design. The Additional knowledge about Accounting and finance will definitely help in the profitability of the logistics and supply chain.

“Logistics & Supply Chain Management” is an Approved course by AICTE.

Course objective: The Diploma in Logistics and supply chain Management is industry specific Post Graduate diploma course and is designed and developed as per the requirements of the Industries. The syllabus and the pedagogy is industry specific which will add value to the students after completing the course. This short term Programme will enhance the employability of the students.

Course out Line: The course is rigorous and exhaustive .This course will be of two semesters, each semester will be of approximately of 15 weeks duration where in each week, there will be minimum 40 hours class room teaching and Project/Assignment & Presentation.
Each Semester will cover four papers. The first semester will provide the rigours foundation for Industry specific contents and topics to be undertaken during the second semester. The second semester will also have four papers based on the specialized Industry based on specific requirements and specializations.
Semester End Examinations will be held during the last week of October and March. There will be five lectures in each week .Each lecture will be of 2 hours and 30min duration.
Lectures will be only on Saturday & Sunday, which will include the project presentation also.
The industry Internship will be during the months of April, May and June.
One Project has to be undertaken by every students and a related projects report has to be submitted by the end of June.

Timings:Saturday 2:30pm to 7:30pm
Sunday 9:30am to 1:30pm & 2:30pm to 5:30pm

Admission Procedure: Students can apply for admission for this course by filling and submitting form along with fees. The admission application form is available at the Institute’s office between 10 am to 4 pm every day (except Sunday).
Students will be required to appear for Personal Interview (PI).
