CMAT coaching is provided at Global Education Counsel ( Div of Growth Center (I) pvt Ltd. This test is administered by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). CMAT is introduced from 2012-2013 academic year. The CMAT will be applicable for admission in post-graduate MBA courses and post-graduate diploma in business administration. The initiative has been taken to address the issue of physical, mental and financial burden being imposed on the students through a multitude of entrance examinations being followed by the institutions for admission into all Management Programmes in AICTE approved institutions and University Departments.
CMAT is a Computer Based Test and will be conducted twice in a year i.e. February and October.
Eligibility:

1) The candidate must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree of three year duration after 10+2.

2) Candidates who have appeared in the final year exams of Bachelor’s degree program and are awaiting results can also appear in the test.

3) Candidate must obtain at least 50% in their graduation (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category).
Age:
There is no age restriction for appearing CMAT.
Test Description:
It’s a multiple choice test, divided in to four sections. There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.

Duration of exam will be 180 minutes (3 hours).
Scoring:
The score will be calculated by assigning:

+ 4 marks for the correct answer.

- 1 mark for incorrect answer.
-
0 mark for no answer.
Details:
GK:
General Knowledge is most undervalued subject in MBA entrance. Most of the students spend 60% time on Quant while totally ignoring GK. This time GK is more important than any other topic including Quant, RC, DI and Puzzles.
Negative marking:
CMAT has negative marking.
More Quant:
There will be more of quant questions in CMAT which means paper will contain 22 questions out of 100 ie 22% of the paper is going to be quant.
Less of Reasoning:
There will be less reasoning questions in CMAT which means only 25% marks is allocated for logical reasoning.
End of Visual Reasoning:
The biggest relief for the students will be end of Visual reasoning. Last year CMAT contained only one mark of visual reasoning which means students have to study some of the visual reasoning.
Reading Comprehension [RC]:
In RC there will be short paragraphs instead of long paragraphs.
