It is my privilege to introduce FLAME (Foundation for Liberal And Management Education) to you. The spirit of Liberal Education lies in the process of making choices, creating choices and taking responsibility and accountability for the choices. It also lies in the multi-disciplinary focus of education where students visualize a very large landscape and experience a holistic perspective.

FLAME as an institution is anchored in liberal education, creates a learning environment which provides to the students wealth of knowledge, global perspectives, multifaceted skills and self anchoring which leads to self assurance, commitment and involvement in the self, others and the systems simultaneously. FLAME has been set up to create a space where the mind can roam in the world of ideas, foster the spirit of enquiry and nurture a learning environment. FLAME has designed a unique, integrated fouryear undergraduate Liberal Education Program and set up a School of Business, School of Communication and Center for Organizational Growth and Excellence (COGE). Underlining these institutions is a philosophy of learning which is participative and interactive; where the teacher and the taught engage in a dialogue, learn from each other and generate wisdom relevant for the times and the times to come.

Sports are an integral part of growth to foster healthy competition and collaboration.

FLAME has initiated the "Discover India" project which anchors the individual into social milieu, a developmental experience which inculcates experiencing the values of grass root realities as well as corporate experience.

All these experiences, put together, create a collage of learning where the students evolve perspectives and values to live by, FLAME creates a learning process that weaves knowledge, emotions and actions into mature growth.

FLAME is located in an enchanting land surrounded by hills an open skies and lush greenery of foliage and trees, evoking awe and wonder at the gifts of nature. It is in this inspiring environment that FLAME invites you to join the journey of learning.

Welcome to FLAME (Foundation for Liberal And Management Education). My personal experience and many interactions with thinkers, scientists, academicians and businesspersons led me to the path of Liberal Education. The future of Education is going to be hybridization of knowledge and interdisciplinary skills. Liberal Education provides just that and much more.

Whilst the existing system provides students with many skill based choices, it does not foster the overall and holistic development of the individual. FLAME focuses on these important elements of education.
