Artist-in-residence Program in New York

Dilshad was one of the four artists chosen to participate in this program. Artist-in-residence programs and other residency opportunities allow visiting artists to stay and work 'for art's sake'. These programs offer conditions that are conducive to creativity and they provide for working facilities, ready to be used by individual artists. Every year highly qualified professionals are chosen by the head of the city school district in New York to teach and present their skills in various schools, and Dilshad was part of this prestigious program.

Nickelodeon’s ‘Let’s Just Play campaign’, 27th Sep 2008
As part of this global campaign to help kids and their parents understand the importance of interactive play and initiate a wave of good lifestyle habits, Dilshad engaged the audience in games, creative movement and dance activities as part of the event.

Citi Group, India – ‘Global community Day’, Nov 8th 2008
Citi's annual Global Community Day brings employees together as a global volunteer team. As part of this outreach event, Dilshad conducted movement therapy sessions for the cancer patients of CPAA, underprivileged children of The Akanksha Foundation, as well as the residents at King Georges Memorial Ashram.
