A dynamic and innovative educationist is the Founder and the Director of the institute and is serving the gem and jewellery industry from last 25 years. He did guru dharan in early 1980's in Bombay where he learnt about diamonds when there were not enough institutes in the country. This institute was established with a dream to educate and upgrade the trade. He takes personal interest in upgrading of the courses time to time. As a result the institute has given hundreds of professionals to the gem & jewellery industry.

Ashish Kalra

Chief Gemologist

A 21st Century Gemologist, completed his Gemology from I.G.I., Diamond grading from I.G.I. (Antwerp, Belgium), Advanced Gemology Lab from G.I.A, Pearl Garding Lab from G.I.A He started his career as a Chief Gemologist of Harison Jewellers and is currently a Chief Gemologist & head of department (gemology) in Harison Delhi Gem & Jewellery Institute and head of Delhi Gemological Laboratory in New Delhi. He is also a member of board of JTCWF (Jewellery Trade & Consumer Welfare Forum).

He was awarded first rank Gemologist for North India in year 2003 by Ministry of Commerce in Mumbai and awarded again first raqnk gemologist for north India in year 2004 by Ministry of Commerce in Delhi. He was also a rank holder at GRSS. He is the first gemmologist in India to complete Advanced Gemmology Lab from G.I.A. (2006). He has been conducting courses and lectures across the country in various places like S.I.S.I. (ministry of small scale industries) in New Delhi, shows like Jewellery Wonder, Gujarat, Mumbai, etc. He is currently doing research work on microphotography on diamonds and coloured stones in Delhi.

Well travelled within and outside country on business assignments. Was temporarily posted in Saudi Arabia for over 7 years. An ardent marketing personnal at heart, he learns every day even today after being into the industry for over 37 years. From his hands on learning and vast creativity within himself and with his deep insight into human being and their social systems, he delivers public and corporate talks on Personality Development, Motivation, Stress Management, Marketing and PR.

Chitra Naik

Former scholarship holder and a PostGrad. Scholar of Sir. J J School of Art, Mumbai, has teaching art, into her system for over 25 years. Senior Director of Castcon Group of Mumbai, leading creative sides and finance since 1985.

Well travelled round the country and have attended major events in UAE and Switzerland. Have hosted her major art shows at National Academy of Art, New Delhi and at Capitol Hill, Washington, USA. Given leads to the Indian subcontiental part of the international jewellery design contest, Tahiti Pearl Trophy from 2000 onwards.
