About this course
The Certificate in Web Design is an online program that prepares participants for employment as a web designer within a corporate art department or as a complement to a design background.
Duration
Classes are released weekly through a dedicated area of our website and it is expected that participants devote at least 6 hours per week to their studies. All assignment work is mandatory.
Award
Advanced Diploma in Web Design which is a Nationally Endorsed course. Graduates will also be awarded the internationally recognised qualification.
Prerequisites
Basic computer and communication skills. Good design skills and knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage. Recognition of prior learning on request.
Software
The current top end web design programs, Adobe Dreamweaver and Fireworks are covered in this course. Students will need to have either CS3 or CS4 installed on their computers.
Computer Access
We have an open access policy, all students are free to use our facilities at any time that the college is open (subject to availability) should they wish to work at the college.
Class Size
Not applicable. All communication is conducted through a dedicated bulletin board and by email.
Fees

Additional Costs
Students are expected to own a reasonably new computer with Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Fireworks installed. There are no additional costs.

Cancellations
Cancellation of your enrolment at any time up to four weeks from course commencement will result in you receiving a full refund for any money you have paid less an administration fee of $250.00. Cancellation within four weeks of course commencement or after course commencement will incur a fee equal to ten weeks tuition fees and we will refund to you any fees you have paid over and above this amount. All enrolment cancellations must be in writing.
