The Department offers excellent pedagogic exposure of each of the five principal areas of Electrical Engineering: Electrical Circuit and Network Theory with fundamental principles of Electrical Sciences; Electronics with Power Electronics and Drives; Digital Systems including Digital Networks, Digital Data processing , Computers and Computations including Combinatorial and Sequential Circuits in both Synchronous and Asynchronous Modes, Hardware appreciation and softwares of MATLAB, PSIM , ETAPB SIMULINK and MATHEMATICA Applications; Electromechanical Energy Conversion including Electrical Machines, Generators and Turbines, Electrical Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Protection and Relaying, High Voltage and Extra High Voltage with Flexible AC Transmission Systems and Non-conventional Energy System; Feedback Control Systems both Classical and Modern, State Space, Continuous and Discrete Data Systems, linear and non-linear systems and analytical inquisitiveness. The time framed and internationally tested curricula allow them to become dignified and disciplined professional in Electrical Engineering.
The Department prepares the students to converse intelligently with Engineers from other disciplines to bring about solutions to inter-disciplinary-oriented problems. The students are exposed to industry-institute partnership through industrial training and industry-sponsored projects. The students are prepared for high and heavy industry, IT Sectors, Defense Services (army, navy and air force), All India high and heavy Engineering Services, and for higher studies in India and abroad.
Vision: Vision of the Department is to transform it into a centre of excellence by building a strong treaching and research environment through meaningful, devoted and determined efforts of all stakeholders.
